Subha Punja, the sizzling hot actress of South Indian films is a native of Mangalore and was brought up in Bangalore. Films have always been her passion from her school days. She did her schooling at Bishop Cotton School, Bangalore. She is a Bharathanatyam dancer who started to perform on stage at age seven. She used to take part in cultural activities in school and was never afraid of stage. She learnt swimming, classical dances and car driving. She did lot of stage plays to polish her acting skill. After completing her Higher Secondary Education, she entered the world of modeling. She acted in commercials like Avita chips and Khazana Jewellery. At the same time she took part in a beauty contest in Chennai and was the winner. On seeing her photos the director of Machi approached her and rest is history. She made her debut in Tamil films with Thirudiya Iyathai and became a busy actress with films like Valibaan, Oru Ponnu Oru Paiyyan, Sutta Pazham and Shanmuga. Her first Kannada film Jackpot was released in 2006. With her glamorous looks, Shuba looks forward to do good performance oriented roles in future.
